Is Brett Rutecky's $387/Day Blueprint Worth It?

Profit Press Review

Hello, This is Hai Nguyen and thank you for reading my Profit Press review.

I've been in affiliate marketing long enough to know how this goes. A vendor with a good story, big income claim, low entry price and a funnel behind it. So when I saw Profit Press, promising Brett Rutecky's personal system that "quietly banked $387 a day for 5 years straight", I didn't just take the sales page at face value. I looked around the members area, read the training, clicked through all the modules, and validated the claims against reality.

Here's what I came up with.

What Is Profit Press?

Profit Press is a step by step affiliate marketing training course by Brett Rutecky and Mike From Maine, two well known and long standing figures in the JVZoo and internet marketing community. It is sold via JVZoo and delivered inside the Profit Empower members platform.

The general idea is straightforward. You set up a WordPress review blog, sign up as an affiliate on JVZoo, pick some products to promote, write AI-assisted review posts and hope Google SEO does the rest to get traffic and commissions. Brett calls this his own method โ€“ the very system he used before building his bigger online business empire.

This is no software tool. There is no dashboard to log into, no automation platform to connect to, no AI engine running in the background. Just a training program, that's all. A method course.

About the Suppliers

Brett Rutecky is a real name in the IM space with a real documented track record. You know his story, probably. He was a factory worker making wooden caskets, living in a tiny one-room flat. He discovered affiliate marketing, and built a business that made over $700,000 with just that method, and millions more with other ventures. He's got a 5-bedroom home on acres of land โ€“ paid for, cash now.

Another long-time collaborator, well established in the JVZoo ecosystem, is Mike From Maine.

You can trust either vendor. This is not some fly-by-night product sold by some unknown person. That helps when it comes to judging whether the training is based on anything real. And it is.

What Does the Training Include?

Once you have bought, you will get access to the course via the Profit Empower members area. The Profit Press training is divided into 8 modules that are meant to be taken in sequence.

  • Welcome gives you the big picture and a five-step roadmap: Register a domain with hosting, install WordPress, sign up for JVZoo as an affiliate, find offers to promote and write reviews with AI.

  • The Basics is about the basics of the method.

  • Signup For JVZoo takes you through the process of signing up as an affiliate on JVZoo.

  • Setup WordPress guides you through building your review site from scratch, step-by-step.

  • Finding Offers teaches you how to find profitable products to promote.

  • Getting Approved explains how to get affiliate approval from vendors - a step many beginners overlook and struggle with.

  • Writing Reviews With AI is the content engine of the whole system. This module includes a training video, a ChatGPT prompt, and a suggestion to install the Classic Editor WordPress plugin. The goal is to leverage AI to build review posts more quickly and consistently.

  • Ranking Tips is a 5 page PDF Guide on How to Rank a New WordPress blog on Google. It covers WordPress installation, SEO plugin installation, Google Search Console submission, keyword research, regular content publishing, backlink building and performance tracking.

  • Want a DFY System? Click here! โ€” Last menu item, an embedded upsell link within the navigation panel itself.

The Benefits Claimed

The sales page makes some big promises about what this method is supposed to deliver.

No technology needed. No content production. Audience not needed. No paid advertising. 30 to 45 minutes a day. And for beginners, you could have your first setup and running by end of day.

The headline result is Brett's personal average: $387 per day, 76 free clicks per day, 22 payments coming in per day โ€“ sustained for over five straight years.

These are the claims that need to be honestly looked at.

Where the Hype is Strong

Let me be blunt about what doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

  • The \(387/day figure is Brett's personal best, not a beginner benchmark. It's not \)400, it's not $350. That oddly specific number is a classic copywriting trick to make a claim feel data-driven and credible. No income screenshots, no 3rd party verification, and no tax records on the sales page.

  • It's a crazy claim for a review blog in the make-money-online niche: "22 payments per day from free traffic." Even for seasoned SEO marketers it's hard to keep up with this on a regular basis. This number is not a realistic expectation for a beginner starting from zero.

  • To say that it only takes "30 to 45 minutes a day" is to massively understate the actual work involved. You can't set up WordPress, do proper SEO setup, get JVZoo approvals, write and publish optimised review posts and build backlinks in 30 minutes a day โ€“ especially if you have never done any of this before.

  • "No content creation" is not technically accurate. The Writing Reviews With AI module is about creating content. ChatGPT is a useful shortcut to write it faster but it is still content creation โ€“ it has to be edited, formatted, published and optimised.

  • Perhaps the biggest stretch is "Traffic is built into the method". Google SEO is the traffic strategy there. SEO is not inbound traffic, it is earned traffic. And it takes time. A brand new domain in a competitive niche like make-money-online can realistically take three to six months or longer before ranking for anything meaningful.

  • "$1,485 value for $19" is straight out of the funnel inflation playbook. The value figures given for each component are self declared, without market basis. A 5 page PDF and some training videos are not worth $1,485 in real world value.

The rags to riches story is emotionally powerful. It may be completely true. But it is a device of persuasion that skims over the years of trial, error and accumulated experience between Brett's first $20 and his average of $387 per day.

The Members Area: A Candid Look

The members area is visibly skinny for a paid product (from a head on view of the dashboard).

8 items on the menu. Usually one video per module. The SEO training โ€“ 5 page PDF. There is no community forum. No templates. No swipe files. No instruments. The final navigation item is a direct upsell link.

For a seasoned marketer, this would be a quick 30-minute overview at best. As for the method itself โ€“ review blogging plus JVZoo affiliate marketing โ€“ it's been around since the early 2010s. Basically it's using ChatGPT to write the reviews, and that's something anyone can learn for free with a quick search.

That said, the simplicity isn't entirely a bad thing. The clean structure and logical progression are actually right for the absolute beginner who has never touched WordPress or affiliate marketing. Doesn't get overpowering. It gives a clear direction. And risk is low enough at $19 that even a small return makes it worthwhile.

The Upsell Funnel

Profit Press has a four-tier funnel with a max spend of $132 in total.

Tier Product Price
Front End Profit Press Core Training $19
OTO 1 Profit Press LIVE Training $47
OTO 2 Affiliate Store $19
OTO 3 Affiliate Store Unlimited $47
Total Max Spend $132

The Front End at $19 is the basic training on all eight modules as described above.

OTO 1 โ€“ Profit Press LIVE Training $47 โ€” 90 minutes of live training where Brett and Mike walk through the entire system on camera in real-time. Includes direct Q&A with Brett, a replay in the members area after the live event and coverage of the AI powered upgrades that cut down on manual work. The most genuinely valuable upsell in the funnel is live access to an experienced marketer answering your specific questions, which is something many cheap courses never offer.

OTO 2 โ€” Affiliate Store at $19 is a DFY affiliate system that allows customers to get paid commissions without needing a list, website, audience or running ads. Attendees are being given a dedicated traffic source directly.

OTO 3 โ€“ Affiliate Store Unlimited $47 โ€“ This is the unlimited expanded version of OTO 2.

What the Method Really Is

Remove the marketing hype and what Profit Press teaches is how to build a WordPress blog, write AI generated product reviews for the latest JVZoo launch, optimise the posts for Google search and earn affiliate commissions when readers click through and buy.

This is an actual strategy. It worked for many people. It still works today. But it's a long game and requires consistent effort, patience with SEO timelines and realistic expectations of income velocity. It's not a 30-minute-a-day hack to $387 a day -- at least not for someone starting from zero.

Who This Is For

Profit Press is a great choice for total beginners who want a structured, hand-holding intro to affiliate marketing and have the patience for a slow-build SEO strategy. This is for people who understand that you can get started with $19, but it's not guaranteed income and you'll need to do consistent work for several months before you can expect to see any meaningful results.

However, for anyone that has some experience with online marketing this will be a poor fit as the content will feel very basic. It is also not suitable for those who need cash fast, as the core traffic strategy of Google SEO just does not work fast for new domains.

The Bottom Line

Profit Press is a very overhyped but legitimate introduction to affiliate marketing. This method is real. The vendors are legit. Price is low risk. But the gap between what's on the sales page and what a typical beginner will actually experience is vast.

The \(387/day claim, the 30-minutes-a-day promise, the "no content creation" angle, and the "built-in traffic" language all go well beyond what the training actually delivers. Those buyers that come with inflated expectations will likely be disappointed. There may be real value here for buyers who know they're getting a basic, structured starting point for \)19.

If you are a complete newbie to affiliate marketing, don't have an existing online presence and want a simple framework to follow as you learn โ€“ Profit Press gives you that framework. Just ignore the income claims on the sales page where they belong and make your own realistic timeline from there.

Fraud? Nope
Is the method legit? Yes slow and competitive but
Too much hype? Yes, very much so.
Value $19? Yes for complete beginners
Is it worth the whole $132 funnel? Only if you're in for the long haul
Is that realistic for most buyers? With Realistic Expectations Only
